Flamed Parabolic Rods :
The standard rods will be mottled-flamed cane with blued nickel silver super z style ferrules,
blued cap, and ring cork reel seats with brown-bronze silk guide wraps. The 8' and the 8'6 rods
can be ordered with a screw down locking seat at no additional cost. Please let me know your
preference when you order. Some of the models below can be ordered with wet and dry tips

I require a $200 Non-refundable deposit to begin a rod. When the rod is finished the balance will be due
including shipping and insurance. After 30 Days if the Rod is not paid for, it will be sold to the next in line for
that model. Wait time can be from 1-6 months depending on which models I am working on at the time.

All models come complete with 2 tips, heavy cloth rod bag, and brass capped tube.

| Price increase update While professionally building bamboo rods for a living for the past ten years in the Michigan tradition of Lyle Dickerson and Paul Young, I have established a solid reputation and steadily built a loyal clientele base. Recently, I have acquired Lyle Dickerson’s rod shop including; all tools, milling equipment, ferrule machine and butt cap press, extensive inventory of nickel silver, Dickerson family farm walnut for reel seats, shop books, logs, notes, taper records, pre-embargo cane, etc. I have been slowly familiarizing myself with the entirety of his production techniques and have reached a point, coupled with my experience, where I can now confidently replicate his work exactly. I have analyzed the tapers of both Young and Dickerson, from original rods and the Dickerson taper records, as well as researched the extensive knowledge on Dickerson and Young in the rod building community. The rod tapers of Dickerson and Young are timeless classics extensively copied and incorporated into many builders’ inventories. Knowledgeable clients and peer builders recognize my expetise when they cast one of my rods. I am proud to know that my rods are in the fishing inventory of many noted collectors and well known builders around the country and world. I have reached a level of workmanship and expertise where demand and technical improvements are propelling me revaluate my pricing. December 1st 2009, I will be re-pricing my rods to $1,850 for all standard models. All rods will be made with Dickerson ferrules, reel seats, etc. The Young rods will exhibit the flaming of this iconic manufacturer.
